DOROT 68-215, is a Diaphragm-actuated, 2-way Spring-loaded, Quick-acting Pressure-relief Metal Pilot Valve, designed for control of quick-relief hydraulic valves. The pilot valve maintains a normally closed position while system pressure is lower than the adjusted preset value.
Operation principle
As pressure exceeds the preset point, the pilot opens fully; allowing fast water discharge from the main valve control chamber, thus opening the valve and relieving surplus pressure from the system. The pilot then re-closes, keeping a narrow passage open to allow upstream water to enter the main valve control chamber; ensuring a slower-paced closure to prevent water hammer.
